Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton slammed her Republican counterpart, Donald Trump, on Sunday, vowing to stay focused on the issues instead of responding to his insults.
"I don't respond to Donald Trump and his string of insults about me. I can take care of myself," she said on ABC's "This Week" in response to a question about Trump's new nickname for her: "Crooked Hillary.""What I'm concerned about is how he goes after everybody else."
She hit the front-runner for criticizing women, Muslims, immigrants and people with disabilities.
"He is hurting our unity at home. He is undermining the values that we stand for in New York and across America. And he's hurting us around the world," she said.
"He can say whatever he want to say about me. I really could care less."
She said she plans to focus on the issues facing the U.S.
"There are stark differences between where I think our country needs to be headed and where he would turn us back and undermine the progress that we've been making," she said, mentioning issues such as climate change, equal pay and a woman's right to choose.
"I know that he doesn't believe any of that," she said.
"And that in this campaign he wants to set Americans against each other, and I'm not going to stand for it."
