 Hillary Clinton backers are bullish about their chances for victory on Tuesday after another surprise from the FBI - this time in the Democratic nominee's favor.
FBI Director James Comey's Sunday letter to Congress said recently-discovered emails had not changed his conclusion that Clinton should not face criminal charges for her use of a private email address and server as secretary of State.
The letter comes on top of promising early-vote data for Democrats, particularly in Nevada, where Hispanic voters appeared to be flocking to the polls. Clinton's standing in opinion polls has also stabilized in the past couple of days.
"She's got it," one close friend of the Democratic nominee told The Hill in the immediate aftermath of Comey's announcement, predicting that Clinton would win between 310 and 320 votes in the Electoral College. The magic number required to win the presidency is 270.
Others expressed their views in even more colorful ways. Reached by text by The Hill, one Clinton aide replied to a question about how he was feeling by sending a celebratory emoji.
The FBI letter delivered a jolt of momentum for Democrats after a difficult stretch since a week ago Friday, when Comey shocked the world with news his agents were looking at new emails.
Polls had already been tightening before Comey's first surprise, raising worries among Democrats that a race that had seemed to be in the bag could be lost after all.
Two widely respected national polls released Sunday, from ABC News/Washington Post and NBC News/The Wall Street Journal, also gave reason for optimism to the Clinton camp.
They indicated that the Democratic nominee was leading Trump by five points and four points respectively.
"While recognizing that [Clinton] is not yet in the end zone, I would say it is first down and goal to go," said Chris Lehane, a Democratic strategist who served in President Bill Clinton's White House.
Pro-Trump Republicans believe they will prevail on Tuesday night.
Trump, sprinting around a number of battleground states including Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Virginia on Sunday, continued to exude confidence, insisting that his campaign would upset the experts.
During a stop in Minneapolis, Trump said his opponent's strategists are belatedly realizing that they are in trouble.
"They know better than anybody this is a whole different ball game," he said. "They don't know about us, folks. We know how to win. They don't know how to win."
Republicans have also pointed to Clinton's decision to spend precious time in Michigan, a state thought to be safely in her column, as evidence that the Democrats are nervous.
Clinton's husband campaigned in the Wolverine State on Sunday, while Clinton will visit on Monday, having been in Detroit on Friday.
At his rally in Minnesota, Trump implored the crowd not to let him down by failing to deliver victory in the state.
Minnesota last backed a Republican for president in 1972. If Trump were able to flip its 10 electoral votes, however, it would give him a significant boost. It would also augur very well for his chances in a swath of Midwestern and Rust Belt states including Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Reflecting the fluidity of the race, Trump was continuing to perform strongly in some national polls as well. He was up by one point over Clinton in an IBB/TIPP tracking poll released Sunday, and just one point adrift in a McClatchy/Marist poll.
Democrats believe that Clinton's get out the vote operation is superior to Trump's and will pay dividends on Election Day. But conservatives counter that there could yet be a "hidden" Trump vote, if supporters who are reluctant to tell pollsters they are backing the controversial businessman turn up to cast their ballots.
The other question is how the new Comey letter might affect the closing hours of the race.
Clinton aides have taken a muted approach so far, with communications director Jennifer Palmieri telling reporters simply that the campaign was "glad this matter is resolved."
Outside groups aligned with Clinton have taken a more muscular approach. Brad Woodhouse, the director of the pro-Clinton group Correct The Record, said in a statement that Comey's announcement "makes clear that Donald Trump's closing argument is a complete fraud."
Trump did not make direct reference to the new letter in his first campaign stop after it emerged but he did assail Clinton as "the most corrupt person ever to seek the presidency of the United States."
During an interview with MSNBC's Steve Kornacki, Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway also argued that the latest Comey letter would do nothing to change the widespread distrust of Clinton that shows up in many opinion polls.
"The reason that so many Americans have a problem with Hillary Clinton's honesty and trustworthiness and veracity does not change," Conway insisted.

IF ONLY OUR LEADERS WILL LEARN

 

Recession is a period of temporary economic decline during which trade and industrial are reduced generally identified by a GDP in two successive quarters.

  Almost every developed country or super power has been in a state of recession in time past. The united states suffered theirs during the depression era of the 1930's. Many industries in the united states were shut down and many workers were thrown out of their jobs due to the harsh  economic situation .Many of these jobless individuals resorted to alcohol leading to an increase in the bootlegging (illegal brewing and importation  of alcohol) business. The Hue and cry led to Hoover losing the election to Roosevelt who with his new deal policies started changing the economy. The Soviet union suffered similar fate during the reign of Joseph Stalin. His harsh collectivization of agriculture policies coupled with the new republic struggling economically from world war 1 led to recession. Industries were automatically shut down making millions of workers Jobless. It only took good policies of later governments and the encouragement of indigenous industries that made that once impoverished nation a world power. China  once suffered recession during the time of chairman Mao tse tung. Mao Tse tung great leap forward policies didn't augur with well with slow moving rate of Chinese economy which was peasant farming. With time due to good economic policies, China is now a world power competing favorably with the united states economically. Germany also suffered recession immediately after world war II .The second world war affected Germany so much that families begged the victorious allies for a crust of bread and their daughters became mistresses to them. Today Germany is moving upward economically in leaps and in bounds. Same with France before the revolution but France is now a strong economic power. Britain and other countries have been down economically before but today they have outgrown that.
  Recently Nigeria is in a state of recession brought about by reckless spending of our resources by our leaders and their unworkable policies. We can get of this slime of recession if only we apply what these countries mentioned above did and came out of it. Those countries applied good policies that stood the test of time and their leaders gave appointments to those that merited it and not on basis of tribalism or man know man. The leaders had a clear vision of where  their good policies would take their people to and succeeding government maintained those policies. Until Nigerian leaders maintain good policies  of  past Government and give appointments to worthy office seekers, we cant go far in combating recession . Tribalism and religious intolerance should be eliminated from our shores and patriotism should be practiced by all. Until we do this the Giant of Africa will still be sleeping in the disturbing sleep of recession. I  rest my case.

A wave of leaks from the vaunted law enforcement agency has followed Mr. Comey’s revelation to Congress that his agency had a renewed interest in the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server.
Donald J. Trump has made those leaks the centerpiece of his closing argument, using unsubstantiated and disputed claims about the F.B.I.’s work to make his case. Mrs. Clinton has tried to move past the issue and focus on her rival.

Some other key factors to watch as the race heads into the closing weekend:
Will there be another end-of-the-week surprise?
The last day of the workweek has often proved meddlesome for both Mr. Trump and Mrs. Clinton.
Key moments in the F.B.I.’s email investigation landed on Fridays; and a 2005 audio recording of Mr. Trump bragging about sexual assault was also revealed on a Friday.
The week could end quietly, or it could close with yet another in a series of wave-making afternoons.
Will the stars align for Mrs. Clinton?
This week has seen a phalanx of musical and political celebrities campaigning on Mrs. Clinton’s behalf.
She was joined by the singer Pharrell Williams in North Carolina on Wednesday. There will be a concert with Jay Z on Friday in Cleveland. And the singer Katy Perry has been working hard to drum up interest among millennial voters.
President Obama made multiple stops on the campaign trail for Mrs. Clinton, and Senator Bernie Sanders appeared with her in North Carolina on Thursday. On Friday, Mr. Obama, Mr. Sanders and Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. will hold events on her behalf.
There has been much made of whether Democrats are as enthusiastic about their nominee as Republicans are about theirs. A New York Times/CBS News poll indicated a minimal gap between Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Trump in terms of the excitement among their voters.
Still, Mrs. Clinton has struggled to galvanize younger voters, and she is unleashing an all-star cast to drive up excitement.
Will the K.K.K. return to front and center?
On Thursday, two days after the Ku Klux Klan’s official newspaper endorsed Mr. Trump, Mrs. Clinton firmly seized on the endorsement for the first time at one of her events.
“He has spent this entire campaign offering a dog whistle to his most hateful supporters,” Mrs. Clinton told supporters at a rally in North Carolina.
Mr. Trump’s campaign rejected the endorsement. But it was the rare instance when his team has emphatically rebuffed the racist group.
Mr. Trump was slow at best in disavowing the support of the former K.K.K. leader David Duke earlier this year — “I disavow, O.K.?” Mr. Trump impatiently told reporters during the Republican primaries — and he has repeatedly retweeted posts from white supremacists on his Twitter feed.
Mr. Trump’s son Eric went further than the campaign ever has — and much too far in general — in rejecting Mr. Duke in a radio interview on Thursday. Eric Trump told the interviewer that Mr. Duke deserves “a bullet.”
Still, reminding people of the support that Mr. Trump has received from white supremacists may be a part of the Democrats’ approach in the coming days in this deeply unusual race

The human mind plays an important role in our lives because it portrays the mind. No wonder a great Roman states by the name Marcus Cicero once said that the mind of the man is the man.The mind is like a paintbrush that paints images you have instructed it to paint. It can be influenced by your thoughts or by the environment around you, but the mind dominates your life by influencing your thinking. One cant tell me that all will be well with him while his mind is confessing the negative . One cant live a positive life if his mind is confessing the negative. No wonder the bible tells us to cast down imagination and bring it under the authority of Christ. The imagination the bible is telling us is formed  in our mind that is why it is essential that one controls it. One should confess positivity even if the environment around him says the negative. In conclusion whatever that is good and noble should ones mind think about. For a positive mind gives a positive life and not the other way round.

ERROR 3 We have lots of friends but few add value to life
Friends ought to be mentors that leads an individual to be a better person. We have lots of friends but  few as mentors add value to our lives.  true friends ought to be symbols of motivation, symbols of rectitude when one goes wrong, symbols that gives strength when one is weak and shares ones dreams .I believe if a friend does not add value to ones life, that person has no option than to annul the friendship for such a friend is destructive to ones dreams and purpose.
ERROR 4 : We have leaders that serve  in various positions of authority but few are true leaders
In most African countries, we have leaders who serve in various positions of authority but few are true leaders . Most of these leaders loot public funds not caring whether the led are dying in poverty or not. A leader in any position of power should have a vision and plan for his people. He should strive to better the condition of his people and should have over to an individual of repute not  a stooge he dictates instruction later on. A leader's foresight and plan for his people should stand the test of time and his subject should see him as a role model.

Mentorship is a relationship in which a more experienced or more knowledgeable person helps to guide a less experienced or less knowledgeable person. The mentor may be older or younger than the person being mentored, but she or she must have a certain area of expertise.
     Every man or woman born on this stage of life has practiced the art of mentorship knowingly or unknowingly. A child teaching his or her younger siblings to wait patiently on the busy road only to cross when the road is clear is practicing the art of mentorship. A parent teaching his or her children the norms and tradition of his family or tribe is practicing the art of mentorship. A teacher  teaching a child a subject in order to become a better person in life is practicing mentorship.
  I n mentorship there is a transfer a knowledge and skill, in mentorship one's reasoning is shifted from the path of ignorance to the path of enlightenment. In mentorship unrefined qualities are removed and refined qualities blossom.
   The southern part of Nigeria especially the Igbo race knows the art of mentorship. Here a prominent business man goes home to his village and looks for an able bodied teenager or adolescent that needs help, takes him home to the city to serve him as an apprentice for 7years or more. In the course of training, the Igbo man teaches the young man certain skills that are needed for the  success of the trade in which he partakes. One of the reason why the Igbo man does this is because knows how to catch fish and not to eat fish. After the course of training, the Igbo man gives the enough capital to set up a similar trade and then frees him.
 This is the same with the marriage setting in the olden days. Here a young girl or teenager that is betrothed to an elder man, is sent to the house of a woman that is skilled with home making skills for some time. The woman mentors the young girl some home making skills like cooking, sewing e.t.c. The older gives her back to her parents who gives her to her husband at the expiration of her training.
    Recently the art of mentorship is gradually fading. its decline is now an ill wind that blows nobody good. Its effects is being felt in our various homes, schools and the society at large. I will share in this post the five errors of mentorship in which people that carry it do. I believe you would be enlightened as you read on. The error of mentorship are:
ERROR1:There are many parents but few are role models: Parents play a great in a child's character formation .A child unless set aside by God cannot grow good characteristic qualities in a place where the parents are constantly quarrelling or in a place where the father comes home in a drunken state and beats up every one at home. Unsettled family homes normally produces children with unsettled behavior. Nowadays you hardly see a parent discipline his or her child when he goes home. Such a parent is abusing his or her mentorship role in the family. Parents should live noble lives and discipline their children if need be . Let your children see you as that role model they desire to be .
ERROR 2: Teachers abound but few greatly impacts the life of the child: I remember when iwas in secondary school, there was a teacher that taught us Christian religious knowledge. The teacher was quiet and pious when she was at school, but was loose with men at home although she taught a moral instructional subject . Let our modern day teachers be role models to their students . Let the students see them as a great light of impact that shines on their path and I assure you a child  you impact positively never forgets.

YOU WOULD ONLY EXCEL GREATLY IN WHAT YOU KNOW AND DO BEST

 

Three living creatures the Horse, the Eagle and the fish were called upon to do a racing competition on three spheres  land, air and sea.

    When the competition was done on land, the fish was moving at a slow pace and so was the eagle but the horse galloped with such speed that amazed both the eagle and the fish that he reached the finishing lie in a flash.

    When the competition was done on Air, both the fish and the horse moved at snail speed but the eagle being the king of the soared with such ease portraying his firm mastery of the air waves . He reached the finishing line even before the fish and the horse could say jack.

     There came the final sphere sea, the horse being denser than water almost got drowned. So was the eagle whose pretty was heavily drenched by water. But the fish  swam and glided with the ocean current with a burst of speed and reached the finishing line at a very fast rate.

 From the story above, it could be inferred that these three creatures excelled in the sphere they had an inborn talent for but failed woefully in the sphere in which their talent was missing.

  So is it with us humans. We only excel  greatly in  we know and do best and not with what we don't have a passion for. Working in a place we don't have passion for is like putting a square peg in a round hole and people around will see  the glaring difference in the end.
 When you don't work in a field  you don't have a passion  for there is loss of focus and passion and come what may you cant excel in such a field. You will always be in a state of monotonous boredom. 
Do things that excite you and  you have a great passion and I assure you will excel in the end.

Do you know that saving is a powerful tool that ensures  you land on the shores of an unending breakthrough? Considering saving consistently any currency of your choice, let say a thousand naira a day for 365 or 366 days. You will be amazed that it would amass to 365 thousand at the end of the year. That is enough to live in a self contain apartment  in Lagos(agent fee and other fees excluded), the amount can also be suitable to start that small scale enterprise you have always desired. What about  saving 2000 naira consistently daily for a year? Such an individual would have a whooping sum of 730 thousand naira at the end of the year. This sum is ideal to start doing something notable in life. In these harsh economic times that is affecting most countries especially my country Nigeria ,you will find out that many people don't save that little dime that will make great difference in their lives at the end. They end up eating up every single dime of their monthly salary and finally resort to begging in order to make ends meet. But mind you, a person in the web of debt, is always a friend to embarrassment. That is why it is of utmost importance that one should save.
     What is even saving by the way ? saving means your consistently keeping a tiny portion from the bulk of your earning for a rainy day. This method or principle has saved a lot of people from the embarrassment of debt and I am sure it will be of great help if you apply judiciously these four basic guides I am about to share.
    For you to efficiently manage your resources through the art of saving in these austere times (especially this time of economic recession in Nigeria), there are five do's you need to apply to be above debt. Failing in any of these, makes you incapable of saving or managing your resources.
   The four do's are
(1) For you to be efficient in the art of saving you must disciplined: What I mean here is that you need to have self control not to touch any of the money you have saved for the rainy day as it piles up. Not being disciplined in this regard is like a farmer who eats up his seedlings  before the planting season. When you eventually spend or eat up what you have saved for days or months, you will end up begging in the streets when there is nothing for you to fall back on. Even when the temptation comes, show some restraint it helps.
(2) You must be committed: For you to efficiently save, you must be committed to that tiny or huge drop of money you put in daily or monthly.
     In saving, procrastination which is the thief of time, is not tolerated for without consistency and commitment your saved money will never grow into a pile. It  takes both discipline ( a factor which I have mentioned earlier) and commitment to efficiently save your money.
(3) You must be focused:  For you efficiently save, you must have a vision or a foresight of the level you want your pile of wealth to reach and you must earnestly suppress any obstacle that will blur your focus or vision. These obstacles might be lack of discipline and procrastination .
(4) You must be wise and experienced to invest your savings into profitable business ventures: This is very essential in increasing the pile of your saved resources to an admirable level because multiple streams of income is achieved.
   Like a said earlier in my previous post, one cant achieve and maintain huge sustainable income without multiple streams of income flowing daily into his or her pocket. The era of being comfortable with only a stream of income is now old and obsolete. Those partaking in only one stream of income as "Just over broke". This is because when that only source of income is no more, the person goes out  to beg and most of the time gets embarrassed by men.
    Before investing in any venture, make sure you are experienced in the business and ensure that business stands the test of time. Business built on porous or shaky foundation collapses with a great thud leaving its owners to wallow in the sea of despair.
Always make sure that you are an efficient manager of your resources it pays.

      Although she hasn't been in public glare for a while now, Hilda Dokubo is loved by many. One thing most of her admirers admire her for, is the way she plays her role and also the way she cries easily in her movies. She is indeed a method actor that is distinct.
      The famous actor gave a shocking but touching confession about her past at the Fresh Oil international church where she was called upon to minister. While speaking she said, "I was born with a silver spoon , but death turned me poverty- stricken, after my father died  when I was just nine. I turned away from God at this point because I felt disappointed despite how much my father loved and served God, he still died."
     She continued, " After my father died, my mother completely lost her mind. If she were living in the US, I'm sure she would have been diagnosed as a mental case. You know, in Nigeria, we don't consider people mad until they have started eating from dustbins .I rebelled against God at that point, and I stopped going to church at the age of nine."
      " However, I was a very brilliant girl and I got admission into the university at the age of sixteen. I became rascally and did what girls like that do. I slept with a man and became pregnant. It wasn't the Holy spirit that impregnated me. My mum was devastated and disappointed in me because of that because of that. I was also angry with her because 'her God' killed my father and we stopped speaking with each other"
     She continued " One day, a man came to me and said he needed a barge. I didn't know what it was and he told me that it was used to store oil. I then recalled that I had once seen a badge in the compound opposite ours. I went to the neighbor and told him I needed the badge. He asked me what I needed it for, but I told him not to worry. I told them to put the badge in front of my mother's house.
    " At that point, the man who told me he needed the barge came back, and dropped sacks of money containing 2 million naira with my mum because I was in school at that time. Two weeks  later, he returned with 5oo,ooo naira and I was dumbfounded. Before then, I had never see 100,000 naira  together , but there I was a millionaire at 17. Hardship is a known fact, globally people face difficult situations everyday but what most of us do is to magnify those problems and challenges and throw in the towel when we feel there is no way out. In Nigeria for instance the soaring inflation rate due to the falling state of the naira has made life to be unbearable for its citizens. This had led people to plunge into unimaginable and abominable devices in a quest to survive. There is a case I heard of a woman selling her son for a bag of rice which is now on a very high side. Another case is one in which a group of teenagers lured two innocent primary school kids to the stream, killed one of them while the other one luckily escaped and reported the incident to the authorities. When those teenagers where later apprehended, the authorities found out that the eyes of the murdered boy were plucked off from its sockets and used for ritual. The teenagers then gave to the authorities a list of their sponsors and that was how a syndicate that specializes in using human eyes for ritual were arrested.
    But do you know that in the midst of global hardship, there will still be the Zuckerberg's, the Rothschild's, The  Bill Gates, The Carlos Slim's, the Dangote's and the Alakija's etc. These are people that see themselves unstoppable no matter how tough economy seem to be. These people  apply certain principles in maximizing their wealth which the average man does not apply . You can also rise above the tide of hardship (because you have the same potentials they have), if you apply these 5 major principles I am about to share.
 The Bible tells us about a widow of a member of a group of prophets who went to Elisha for help. The widow had nothing with her when she met the man of God but a small jar of olive oil. Meanwhile a man her late husband owed money was on the brink of taking her sons as slaves in payment for her husband's debts. This widow had a ''nothing mentality'' when she met Elisha but when she discovered she had something and  applied the principles that the Man of God gave to her, an overwhelming breakthrough came.
   Some of us always complain that things always go wrong with them, they complain of relatives that are not willing to help them, They complain that the government are insensitive to listen to the plight of the masses they rule and are not willing to help. They don't  realize that one's world is dominated by the confession he or she makes. It is when you discover what is divinely deposited in You that a solution to your problems and challenges and a breakthrough comes.
   There are five major principles one needs to apply in order to rise above the storms of hardship. These principles are:
(1) Recognize what you have: No individual was created and brought into this world empty handed. There is a divine gift or gifts given to you by God to stand out above your peers. It is only when you recognize what God has placed in you and fully utilize it that you will be recognized by men. A bricklayer can never work in a bank nor will an accountant work in a hospital as a Doctor. Each works perfectly in the area where he or she excels with ease.
(2) No matter the challenges recognize the seed that is in your hand: It is what you have that you can use to achieve your dream. No matter how small you think your dream is, you need to increase your capacity on what you have to achieve that dream. A farmer cannot expect a bounty harvest, if he does not first of all plant the seed that is entrusted to him. One must not expect a fulfilled dream if he or she fold his arms and not move to see it become a reality. one needs to be creative and focused in order to achieve his dreams.
(3) Never spend beyond your earnings: For you not to get drowned in the storm of hardship, one needs to spend wisely. There is a popular adage "Cut your coat according to your size" is always true . You cant expect to rise above debt if you spend above your means of livelihood. Any one that spends beyond his livelihood is a prone to the embarrassment of debtors. Do you want to respected in life? spend wisely and always save no matter how little. One that saves always saves for a rainy day  is never caught in the web of hardship.
(4) Invest wisely: invest wisely on ventures that will increase your income . This can be achieved through your savings. Make sure you are experienced in the business venture you want to invest in . One thing good about investments is that it brings to you multiple streams of income. You can expect to be prosperous in life with a single stream of income ?
(5)leave your comfort Zone :The widow left her comfort zone after leaving the man of God and had to go  outside to look for gallons in order to fill it with oil. In life someone needs to get his hands dirty in order to survive and succeed in life. Close your ears to criticism and always remain focused on the actual fulfillment of your dream and I am positive that you will rise above the stormy waves of hardship with ease.
