    There was once a Shakespearian Actor  who was known every where for his one man show of reading and recitation from the Classics. He would always end his performance with a dramatic reading of Psalm23.Each night, without exception, the Actor began his recitation " The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want-----" The crowd would listen attentively and then at the conclusion of the Psalm, They would rise in thunderous applause in appreciation of the Actor's incredible ability to bring the verse to life.But one night ,just before the actor was about to offer his customary recital of Psalm23 ,A young man from the audience spoke up, "Sir ,do you mind if tonight I recite Psalm23?"The actor was quite taken a back by this unusual request ,but he allowed the young man to come forward and to stand front and Centre of the stage to recite the Psalm, knowing that the ability of the unskilled youth would be no match for his own talent.
   With a soft voice ,the young man began to recite the words of the Psalm. When he finished, there was no standing ovation as on the other nights. All that could be heard was weeping. The Audience was moved by the young man's recitation that every eye was full of tears. Amazed at what he heard ,the Actor said to the youth, "I don't understand.\I have been performing Psalm 23 for years. I have a lifetime of experience and training ,but I have never moved an audience as you have tonight. Tell me what ,what is your secret? "The young man humbly replied,"well sir,you know the Psalm---- but I know the shepherd".One cant fully impart a maximum impact on the lives of men if he does not have a personal encounter with the Good Shepherd,  the Lord Jesus Christ if he or she have a personal encounter through constant fellowship with him.Hearing about the savior through biblical stories and religious doctrines, can never usher one into a blissful experience of knowing him but a personal encounter through the daily reading of his word the bible and  constant worship and prayers does. You want to know the shepherd? fervently seek to have an encounter with him and you wont regret you did.

During the years when slavery was legal in the United states, A Gentleman happened to witness a Slave biding in a crowded street .As he watched from the edge of the crowd to observe the activities, He saw one slave to another led onto a platform their arms and legs with ropes as if they were animals

Displayed among the jeering crowd, was a young female slave standing at the back, her eyes tilted with fear and looked so frightened. The Gentleman hesitated for a moment and then disappeared briefly. When he returned, The Auctioneer was about to start with the biding of the young Girl he had noticed before hand. As the Auctioneer started the biding, the Gentleman shouted out a bid that was twice the amount of any selling price offered that day. There was silence for an instance, and the gavel fell as" sold to the Gentleman". The rope that bound her was handed to the Gentleman who accepted it without saying anything. The young girl stared at the ground ,Suddenly looked up and spat in his face. Silently, he reached for a handkerchief and wiped the spittle from his face. He smiled gently and said "follow me". This the slave girl did reluctantly.
       In the slave years, there were legal documents called "manumission papers" which was obtained upon the purchase of a slave. These Papers were necessary documents those days. The Gentleman paid the purchase price and the necessary documents. when the transaction was complete, he turned to the girl and presented the documents to her. Startled ,she looked at him with uncertainty .Her narrowed eyes asked "what are you doing", The Gentleman responded to her questioning look. He said "Here are the papers.I bought them to set you free As long as you have these papers in your possession, no man can ever make you a slave again"The slave girl was surprised and shocked beyond words, for she kept on saying the words of the Gentleman "you bought me to set me free?". As she began to grasp at the significance of the documents she now held,She fell to her knees and wept at the Gentleman's feet and with tears of gratitude she said" you bought to set me free? I will serve you forever" .Jesus paid such a price for us when he shed his blood  on the cross for our sins at Calvary. That's what the Bible called Redemption.

WILL THE ESTABLISHMENT OF STATE POLICE BE A FINAL SOLUTION IN COMBATING CRIME AND TERRORISM IN THE COUNTRY??



Recently among Nigerians, the subject of discussion is the establishment of state police in the country. This subject currently on the front burner, has divided Nigerians into two major groups, those that support its  establishment and those that don't. These two groups always confront each other with  aggressive points like Gladiators on a Entertainment Arena. The  groups are  frequently seen in  our newspaper stands, workplaces and even in the three tiers of Government each championing the Merits and Demerits of it. 
      But the issue is, will the establishment of State Police be a final solution to the increasing crime rate and terrorism that is plaguing the land or will its establishment further worsen it?
 Its supporters see it as a means of curbing the high rate of unemployment, that is terrorizing  the  Nation  with impunity . They also see it as a means of providing employment to able bodied youths in need of jobs and as a means of combating crime and terrorism. They feel that Police troops will be able and ready in fighting Criminals and terrorists with fastness and accuracy with State Police
   Those that doesn't support it see it as a means of the State Police being used as political thugs during elections.They feel we are not yet matured to have one. But the issue is, will the establishment of State police give us the peace we need or destabilize us?It is like a puzzle without a solution at present. It is only time that will tell us whether we are matured for it or not.

"Keep up with the Kardashian" star Khloe Kardashian has a staph infection but will soon be ok, Gossip Cop has learned .She according to their report, contacted the infection while visiting Lamars Odom at Cedars -Sinai medical Centre in Los Angeles, and is  currently hospitalized. Khloe not long ago suffered a  number of strokes and was  found unconscious in a Nevada brothel .Khloe had no other option but to cancel part of her book tour for "Strong better looks Naked" as a result of the staph infection.

Jack Musa the son of ex Military head of State, General Yakubu Gowon and Late Edith Ike Okongwu .Edith a lady of Ibo extraction ,lived with Gowon during the civil war era until his people kicked her out for flimsy reasons and took Musa from her.
  Edith relocated to the United States but couldn't bear the loss of her Son being snatched from her by her lover's people. After many years, She took a daring task of "kidnapping "him and taking him back to America. That daring move was later a wrong one because young Musa later became rebellious and didn't approve of his mother's single and flamboyant lifestyle.
   To make matters worse, his dad being furious over the daring act of Jack's mother, allegedly cut himself off from his son as long as he was with the mother. Musa later became a high and notorious member of a Columbian drug Cartel and lived a rich and flamboyant lifestyle until he was caught in 1993.He was about 23years old at that time.
   Although he protested vehemently through his legal that he was innocent and was unjustly framed up, he was  nevertheless sentenced to 324months in prison plus five years of supervised release.
   Jack according to reports was well behaved during his prison stay, bagging a degree in law as a prison inmate. He was also a source of inspiration to co-inmates who has given up on life.The Prison warden also loved and worship the ground he treaded on.This Commended act of leadership together with family members fight for his release, attracted the attention of President Obama who granted him a parole recently .He would be deported back to Nigeria before the year ends.

The Terrorist Group Boko Haram attacked Gworza, a town situated in Southern Borno but were repelled by the Nigerian Army.
  Addressing a Press conference in Maidugri the Borno State Capital, The Media Coordinator of Operation Lafiya Dole ,Colonel Tukur  Gusau, said despite their obvious losses, The terrorist group made a desperate but costly attempt to attack Nigerian Army blocking position early this morning(Friday) in Gworza.
    He added " although details are still being collated, He stated that seven terrorists were gunned down and the following weapons were recovered:1Toyota Hilux vehicle,11  Ak-47riffles,1Shika gun,1 Rocket Propelled Grenade tube, 6 hand grenades, Others  include several rounds of machine gun ammunitions.
    "The desperate attack today(Friday) was a failed attempt to project an image of strength .It is a part of the last struggles of a dying evil"

Clinton, cited cases like the June murders of Black Churchgoers  in Charleston, South Carolina should prompt a "legitimate discussion" about the death penalty .In October, Clinton said that she doesn't support abolishing  the death penalty ,but wants it reserved for "very limited and rare cases".During the forum on Friday, Clinton named Boston Marathon Bomber ,Dzhokar Tsarnov, 9/11mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed and Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh..... people who she said committed "Heinous Crimes"as those who should have the death penalty.

WOW!!! Meet The 2015 Guiness World Book of Records World Shortest Man !!!!!

Chandra Bahadur Dangi, one of the most iconic record holders to have graced the pages of the Guinness World Records book, sadly passed away earlier this month.

 

The Nepalese record holder was a primordial dwarf, a condition that rarely sees people survive past thirty, but Mr Dangi remarkably lived for 75 years and touched the world with his strength and spirit.

 

 

 

At 54.6 cm (21.5 in) tall, and weighing just 14.5 kg (31 lb 15.52 oz), Chandra held the prestigious title of Shortest man living, and remains the Shortest man ever following an official measurement at the CIWEC Clinic Travel Medicine Center in Lainchaur, Kathmandu, Nepal on 26 February 2012.

 

Until his recognition by Guinness World Records, Chandra had spent his entire life in the remote Nepalese mountain village of Rhimkholi, about 250 miles west of Kathmandu. He lived there with his five brothers (all of an average height) and made his living weaving traditional Nepalese garments. 

 

Chandra's home was so remote that it wasn't until a forest contractor cutting timber in the village met him and informed local media that his incredible size came to light.

 

 

 

Recalling the historic moment Chandra was recognised as the shortest man on record, Craig Glenday, Editor-in-Chief of Guinness World Records says:

 

“I had the honour of accepting Mr Dangi’s invite to Kathmandu in 2012 to oversee his official measurements. It was there that we stood in front of the world’s press and announced his position as not only the shortest man living but the shortest man ever measured in the 60-year history of Guinness World Records.

 

 

“His life changed immeasurably after his record was confirmed – he was showered with gifts and invitations overseas, and he became an instant global celebrity. He handled the media frenzy in his stride, and while he enjoyed the accolade and recognition, he also understood what it meant for everyone in Nepal to celebrate this iconic record.

 

 

Speaking at the time of Craig's visit in 2012, Chandra said: "I'm very happy that I'm being recognised by Guinness World Records and that my name will be written in the book. It's a big thing for my family, my village and my country. I am very happy.”

Chandra said that his Guinness World Records recognition meant he “actually got the opportunity to visit many places over the whole world, and meet many people”, adding that that the love that was shown to him was immensely important to him.

 

In an extraordinary moment last year, Chandra met fellow record-holder Sultan Kosan – the Tallest man living (251 cm and four and a half times the size of Chandra).

 

Speaking this week from his home in Turkey, Sultan told of his sorrow upon learning of Chandra's passing. "The news of Chandra's death saddens me deeply, may my fellow world record holder rest in peace".

He may now no longer be with us, but Craig says Chandra certainly made a huge impact around the world.

“Mr Dangi was the perfect ambassador for his country, always gracious and dignified, and happy to pose for photographs and share anecdotes about living his life at half a metre tall. Everyone at GWR is terribly sad to hear of his passing and sent our heartfelt condolences to Mr Dangi’s family.”

Whose Report Will You Believe?

There can be reports that might atimes unnerve us and deprive us of Joy...  Reports that make us to ask ourselves, "why do I have to tarry in this mountain for so long?"

If those reports came from men, know this, they have mouths but they don't have the final say. If they are based on conditions or circumstances, be mindful of this, they have facts but they don't have the final say.



But we have a higher report that outshines them all. A report that is garnished with divine promises and flavoured with miracles . A report that principalities and powers have no other say but to bow down to it. This report has been helpful to great men of the past and it is still helpful because its efficacy has never changed. It is potent forevermore.

Whose report am I talking about? IT IS THE REPORT OF THE LORD!! Cling with all your might to His Report and YOU WILL NEVER BE THE SAME. For only his report has the final say. Others are baseless .

There is a presence great men seek. A presence that separates men of value from mere men. A presence that Open doors, blazes impossible trails and breaks yokes. A presence that is in all ramification Unique. The fullness of This presence in One's life transforms rejected Stones to corner stones, beggars to kings, timid men to fearless warriors and simpletons to Men of intense wisdom. The Power and Aura of This presence in one's life makes one's enemies to be at peace with him and transforms places of wilderness to an ever flowing Stream . What Else can i say of This Presence; for with it One prospers and can Do All things; but without it One can Do nothing. With it the dormitories of principality and Power bow, without it One is always entangled. With it One approaches the throne of Grace and asks the father of anything and it is done and With it One always prospers in all he does. The benefits of This presence in the lives of Men is inexpressible and unfathomable. What other presence Do i speak of but THE PRESENCE OF THE LIVING GOD.
